The Leader of Islamic Revolution, Imam Seyed Ali Khamenei, has said that Pakistan’s national unity foils the US ominous plots.
Imam Khamenei pointed out that the US is hell-bent to cause discord in Pakistan in a bid to attain its illegitimate goals. But, the Pakistani people’s awareness of Washington’s ominous intentions will lead to further steadfastness of the Pakistani nation against the US hegemony.
In a meeting with the Pakistani President, Asef Ali Zardari, on Saturday afternoon, Imam Khamenei underscored that the historical, cultural and religious bonds between the Iranian and Pakistani nations set the stage for further expansion of the two countries’ relations, while emphasizing on the multilateral reinforcement of Tehran-Islamabad ties.
Meanwhile, the Pakistani president, for his part, underlined that his country will make utmost efforts to boost its relations with Iran.
The Pakistani president also reminded that the two nations have maintained deep-rooted relations, and a highly promising future awaits these bilateral ties.
