Shia News in Hindi Getting Started in ABNA

Shia Muslims are a large minority among India's Muslims. Shiite population is between 40,000,000 to 50,000,000 of 157,000,000 Indian Muslim population. The existence of large number of the followers of Ahl al-Bayt (AS) in the vast country of India, who are under the cultural and social attacks of different news sites, encouraged the officials of Ahlul Bayt News Agency – ABNA – to launch the Hindi language to cover the news of Shia around the world.



 On thirteenth of Rajab, the birth anniversary of Imam Ali (AS), Hindi language of Ahlul Bayt News Agency – ABNA – getting started.
Hindi is the sixteenth language of Ahlul Bayt News Agency – ABNA – which has been launched.
Shia Muslims are a large minority among India's Muslims. However, Indian Shiite population in mid 2005-2006 between 25% to 31% of entire Muslim population of India which accounts them in numbers between 40,000,000 to 50,000,000 of 157,000,000 Indian Muslim population. However, India's Shia population in early 2000 was around 30 million. According to some national and international sources Indian Shia population is the world's second-largest after Iran.
There are many big and small towns and villages with majority Shiite Muslim population in India. Many Sayyids between 12th to 16th centuries migrated to the Indian subcontinent to escape the persecution of Shias in mostly Sunni ruled Middle East. Prominent places in India with majority or considerable Shiite Muslim population are Kargil, Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Barabanki, Lucknow, Hallaur, Sadaat Amroha, Sadaat Jais & Naseerabad and Naugawan Sadat. Shias in Hallaur, Sadaat Amroha and Naugawan Sadat are majority Sayyids.
It is noteworthy to say that during the past two years Ahlul Bayt News Agency – ABNA – has launched the languages of Malay, Azeri Turkish, Indonesian and Bengali beside the old languages of Arabic, English, Urdu, Russian, German, Chinese, Turkish, Spanish, Persian and French.
“Huj. Hosseini Aref” the editor of Ahlul Bayt News Agency said: “Swahili language will be launched next month, Insha'Allah. Hausa and Portuguese will be launched if Abna gets the fundraising money.”
