A Yemeni deputy minister who was wounded in an attack, along with several others, earlier this month has died in a Saudi hospital, a report says.

"Mohammed Al-Fusil, the religious endowments and guidance deputy minister, died on Saturday night in Saudi Arabia while receiving treatment," Shahab al-Deen al-Mohamdy, the head of information and culture section of the ministry, was quoted by Xinhua as saying.
Al-Fusil had been badly wounded along with Yemen's Ali Abdullah Saleh and several other high-ranking Yemeni officials in a missile attack on the Presidential Palace on June 3.
The attack on the presidential compound had come shortly after forces loyal to Saleh shelled the home of Sheikh Hamid al-Ahmar, a brother of the head of powerful Hashid tribal federation whose members have been fighting a deadly battle with the regime in Sana'a over the past weeks.
Yasser al-Yamani, a ruling party official, has said that Saleh, who is currently in Saudi Arabia, will return home after he recovers.
Yemeni Vice President Abdu Rabo Mansour Hadi is the acting president in the absence of Saleh.
The Yemeni opposition is calling for the formation of a transitional council, the dissolution of parliament and country's consultative council and the formation of a committee to draw up a new constitution and set dates for holding a referendum on the constitution and for elections.
